Ray J might be returning to VH1 as the anchor for a new “Love & Hip Hop” spin-off based in L.A., according to recent rumors.
The popular franchise, created by Mona Scott Young, already has two successful spin-offs, including “Chrissy & Mr. Jones” and “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” K.Michelle has also confirmed that she’s getting her own show as a result of her “LHH:ATL” popularity.
Though there’s been no official word yet, rumors suggest that Ray J and Teairra Mari will be the two primary cast members of the L.A. version which is supposedly in the casting phase right now.
Teairra Mari is no stranger to the franchise. She was a regular on season 2 of the New York series, and Ray J, who starred in “For the Love of Ray J” and “Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business,” has plenty of reality experience.
This isn’t the first time rumors of an L.A. spin-off have surfaced. Early last year, when news of a “Love & Hip Hop” spin-off first leaked, many wondered whether L.A. would be the city. At that time, there was speculation that Somaya Reece might join the West Coast cast.
The third “Love & Hip Hop” series hasn’t been confirmed, but it seems like fans are ready.
