Tami Roman: ‘BBW’ could be a ‘sinking ship’

Tami RomanTami Roman was once in the proverbial “Basketball Wives” circle, but the embattled reality star has taken note that she’s sort of on the outs this season.

“Y’all b!tc#_$ went shopping without me. All I want to say is, I would have liked to have contributed to the gift to Miss Tasha, but y’all three decided y’all wanted to be the Three Musketeers and go get some damn harnesses and dildos… Y’all left me sitting in the hotel room,” Tami said in her most recent recap vlog.

Viewers of the show might recall that Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada and Suzie Ketcham went together to find something special to give Tasha Marbury for her birthday. Tami was apparently left behind.

Though she made mention of being left out, Tami didn’t seem too upset. That might be because she’s planning to bail on the series. In a recent Twitter response to a follower, she suggested that season 5 might be her last.

“It may have run its course. I don’t necessarily know that there are many more stories that we can tell,” Tami told Bossip.com about the show. “It could possibly be a sinking ship.”

Tami, who’s working on other projects while trying to mold a new image for herself, said that the show’s depiction of her might have something to do with her decision to stay or go.

“I just try to give my real life and open up every aspect of my life. If I don’t feel like that’s being portrayed the way I need it to be portrayed at this point in my life, then there are steps that everyone needs to take for the good of mankind,” she said.

Tami wouldn’t be the first “Basketball Wives” star to exit the show. Royce Reed and Jennifer Williams are just two of the series former cast members. Though things seemed rocky between Tami and the ladies, she said she’s on good terms with Royce and Jen.

“Royce and I had a disagreement last season, season 4, about how things were handled between myself and the other young lady. We should have just agreed to disagree. We didn’t have to end our friendship. That’s not really being grown about it. People are going to disagree with you all the time. We kinda let the show, social media and people start adding fuel to the fire and we eventually stopped speaking, but I genuinely care about Royce,” said Tami who’s also remains in contact with Jen.

Tami said she’s learning how to communicate better with people and is seeing a spiritual mentor and counselor these days.

“People think when you go to therapy, you’re supposed to come out of that session and you supposed to be changed and brand new, and that’s not how therapy works. It’s a continuous effort to try to better yourself,” she said.
