Tamera Mowry-Housley is already thinking about having another child, but although she’s a twin, she’s not sure she wants to have more than one at a time.
“If I was blessed with twins, of course, I would be very grateful and very happy,” she told OK! magazine. “However, having twins is a lot of work, so I physically—or mentally—can’t imagine taking care of two at the same time.”
With that said, having one other child to raise along with her son, Aden, might happen sooner rather than later, she hinted.
“I am planning on having a second baby,” she said. “My doula says the 10-month spot is the sweet spot because I’m having so much fun with my son. He sleeps through the night; he’s mobile, but not to the point where he’s breaking my back. That’s usually the time that people are like, ‘Okay, I’m ready for No. 2.’ That’s where I am right now.”
Though she’s not sure she’s ready to take on the challenge of twins, Tamera said she has a lot of respect for her parents and others who raise multiples.
“It’s a lot of work,” she said, offering a few tips from the child’s perspective. “Make sure that people don’t see them as one person…It’s important to realize that they may look alike… and they may have come out at the same time, but they’re individuals. Treat them that way.”
