It was a tearful good-bye for Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley and their “The Real” co-hosts as the show aired what could be its final episode.
With reportedly high ratings, many believed the show would be picked up beyond its summer test run, but apparently, the head honchos haven’t announced another season. That led to a tearful farewell from the ladies.
“I just felt so blessed and honored to share my life with you guys, for people to get to know the real me,” said former Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon.
Tamar, who’s known for rarely biting her tongue, had to be prompted to speak. The “Braxton Family Values” star struggled to hold back her tears as she expressed her affection for her co-hosts.
“I come from a family of sisters, and most of the time I feel like they accept me because they’re my sisters, but I’ve been blessed with another set of sisters who accept me for exactly who I am,” Tamar said.
Tamera, who stars with her twin sister on “Tia & Tamera,” thanked the audience for recognizing her as an individual.
“This has been so much fun and it’s so great for you guys to accept me as an individual, as me just being Tamera. It took a lot of courage to be here by myself,” she said.
Though the ladies seemed to be signing off for good, Adrienne suggested there might be some hope that the show will return.
“Hopefully, this is not the end of ‘The Real,’” she said.
Watch the ladies’ tearful farewell in August.
