Draya Michele is remaining pretty tight-lipped about hearsay that she might be branching off on her own with a new show!
It seems that much like her Miami contemporaries Tami Roman and Evelyn Lozada, Draya might be ready for a spin-off. There have been whispers that VH1 will be giving her very own show.
Draya didn’t necessarily deny the rumors, but she hinted that something new may be coming down the pipeline for her career. “There’s a lot I can’t say,” Draya told TheJasmineBrand.com recently. “You guys just have to watch [‘Basketball Wives: LA’] and then maybe at the end we’ll give you some hints of what’s coming next so, got to stay tuned.”
For now, the Mint Swim creator is shooting the upcoming season of “BBWLA” with Jackie Christie and Malaysia Pargo. They’re the only cast members who are still on the show since Laura and Gloria Govan booked their own show; Brooke Bailey and Bambi have also bid farewell to the show. Bambi will likely be appearing on the next season of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” alongside her new boyfriend Lil Scrappy.
With all those exits, VH1 had to recruit some newbies for the “Basketball Wives: LA” team, and Draya dishes that it has come with some complication. Unfortunately, she hasn’t gone into specifics, mentioning, “You know, it’s all new people so you’re always going to have new drama. So, you have to see it.”
