Laura Govan may think that the “Basketball Wives” franchise has been ruined by so-called “hos,” but Malaysia Pargo has a more inclusive point of view.
“I feel like a lot of players don’t have wives, so that just excludes them,” Malaysia told HipHollywood.com. “I feel like in actuality, in the NBA, there’s wives; there’s girlfriends; there’s babymama. They’re side chicks.”
Malaysia happens to be one of the few women in the franchise who is actually married to a baller. However, she remains friends with co-star Draya Michele, who’s never been married and also disagreed with Laura.
“Basketball Wives: LA” newcomer, Brandi Maxiell, who is married to Jason Maxiell, said, “Everybody’s affiliated in some way to the show. So, I think it’s good.”
Laura, who has been with Gilbert Arenas for several years, and sister Gloria Govan Barnes won’t be returning to “BBW:LA.” The sisters said they’re working on their own reality show that will offer a more realistic depiction of life as an NBA wife/babymama.
