Babyface gets star on the Walk of Fame
It’s been a long time coming, but Babyface has finally gotten a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The “Everytime I Close My Eyes” singer admits that he didn’t see this honor coming because he didn’t get into music to earn his own star. “It was surreal,” he told USA Today. “That was not part of the plan. That’s what makes it an amazing thing.”
L.A. Reid, Usher, Diddy, Toni Braxton, Stevie Wonder, Raphael Saadiq and Kris Jenner were all on hand for the event. In L.A. ‘s opinion, it was a perfectly fitting accolade, explaining, “I just feel like what Kenny has done musically, and what he’s done as an inspiration to people as a role model has really advanced the culture. And a lot of babies were made.”
