Stevie J may need to reach pretty deep into his pockets to settle up some back child support. Like $1 million deep.
AllHipHop.com reports that the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” has been accused of owing a hefty amount in unpaid child support for two of his kids. Carol Bennett has filed court documents against Stevie, claiming that he’s seriously fallen behind to the tune of $1.2 million.
Supposedly Carol will host a press conference later this week to speak about her child support case against Stevie. To be precise, the conference will be held on a 11:30 a.m. in New York on Halloween.
Carol contacted the Bounty Alert and the Custodial Support Foundation, which specializes in collecting hidden assets from people that are trying to dodge child support payments.
According to court documents, Stevie owed more than $200,000 when he moved to Georgia from New York. Under the 1992 Child Support Recovery Act, it’s illegal to leave a state when one owes more than $10,000.
