The men of “Preachers of L.A.” visited Arsenio Hall on Halloween and explained why they’re not allowing criticism of the show to stop them from sharing their ministries with the TV audience.
Bishop Clarence McClendon, who bumped heads with co-star Deitrick McClendon when Clarence showed up to a pastors’ pow wow with an entourage, said blazing new trails always brings out haters.
“Anytime you’re moving into space that is uncharted, you’re going to have haters. Jesus had haters. Anytime you’re pushing the envelope…,” said Clarence who isn’t afraid of opinions as long as he’s having an effect on others.
“I teach our people that the kingdom of God is a kingdom of relational influence and anybody you refuse to relate to, you’ve also refused to influence. When you start influencing people, you’re going to get their opinions. Opinions come. Opinions go, but I believe that we are moving into an area where others are going to follow,” Clarence said.
Bishop Noel Jones co-signed, “If you don’t have any haters, you’re not that gifted,” he said.
