Kandi Burruss is no longer waiting on her mother’s approval when it comes to her decision to marry Todd Tucker.
Kandi her mama Miss Joyce can’t quite seem to agree on Todd; obviously, Kandi loves him, but Miss Joyce thinks that he’s no good for her girl. Sadly it doesn’t seem like they’ll reach an understanding about him any time soon. “I don’t think my mother’s feeling…or her thoughts about Todd are valid,” Kandi told MadameNoir.com.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star confessed to Madame Noir that she’s not going to let her mother’s disapproval keep her from becoming Todd’s wife.
“Yes, I’m going to have to go forward without my mother’s blessing, unfortunately, because she’s not giving it,” Kandi stated.
The “RHOA” business woman would love to do a big wedding, but since she can’t get a little support from her mom when it comes to marrying Todd, it sounds like she’s considering scaling back her idea of what her big day will really be.
“The question is for me right now am I going to go forward and do something just small as far as the wedding is concerned or am I going to try and do something bigger,” Kandi said resignedly. “If my mom’s not going to be there, then the whole big to-do is not really sounding as appealing.”
No matter which way she decides to go with her wedding, it’s not likely that Bravo cameras will be anywhere near the nuptials when they happen–and she wasn’t speaking up about rumors that she and Todd eloped in Mexico.
“I will say that for me that is not the most appealing idea,” Kandi said, explaining why she probably won’t do a wedding spin-off like her Kim Zolciak or NeNe Leakes. “I’m not going to say definitely not, but at the same time I’m not jumping at it just because it seems like too much pressure.”
