Tara Wallace talks Amina Buddafly bout

Tara WallaceTara Wallace was as shocked by her violent response to Amina Buddafly as she was by the revelation that Peter Gunz was living a double life with his European artist.

“I didn’t expect that from myself. When I watched it, I’m like, ‘Really? Is that what I just did?’” Tara told Streetz 94.5 in Atlanta. “I kinda blacked out in that moment.”

The moment to which she’s referring is when Amina clarified for Tara that she wasn’t just Peter’s side chick, but his wife. Tara reacted by physically attacking Amina.

Though she’s no longer with her babydaddy and beau of 13 years, Tara said she is still co-parenting with Peter, and it doesn’t sound like she’s given up hope that the two might one day reconcile.

“Peter and I, we have two children. So, there’s always going to be a bond,” she said. “It is hard to give up 13 years. However, you still want to try to work on something, maybe we can build something still, maybe we can make this work.”

Amina may be rocking his ring and last name (tattooed on her body), but Peter said he and Tara still have a strong bond.

“We’re still extremely close. We still love each other, raising our boys together still,” he said.

Tara admits that she still has love for Peter, but taking her cue from Tina Turner, she questioned how much love has to do with it.

“Love has nothing to do with it. It’s about respect. It’s about what I need, what I want. The older you become as a woman, we become very clear on those things,” she said. “It’s a but much for me. At some point, you just have to say, ‘Okay. I can’t. I can’t.’”

While she and Peter are still “trying to keep it nice and sweet for the kids,” Tara said she avoids asking too many questions about his relationship with Amina.

“As far as I know, they’re still married. I try not to ask too many questions. I may get angry and pop him upside the head up in here,” she said.

It’s been said that the truth will set you free, and Tara isn’t the only one who’s released some baggage. Peter told Giant.com: “Doing ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ might’ve helped me because now I know I don’t want to live like this anymore.”
