After getting a taste of some legal pressure from Pebbles, it seems that VH1 is backtracking on its TLC biopic.
Pebbles was deeply offended by her depiction in CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, and she spoke out about it several times. From her Twitter to her official website and even an interview on “The Wendy Williams Show,” Pebbles claimed that the network lied about how she actually operated as TLC’s former manager.
In one official statement she even informed VH1 that she and her legal team were demanding that the network removed any and all defamatory scenes about her.
Well it seems that although VH1 did not cave to the pressure about re-editing the movie, the network did find another way around any libel claims stemming from CrazySexyCool.
Vh1 released a statement that said, “The movie is a fictionalized portrayal of the development of TLC as told from the perspective of the members.”
