Surprise: Beyoncé drops new album

Beyoncé has the mother of all surprises for her fans: A brand new album!

After months of keeping mum about any news or hints of an official release, the “Grown Woman” diva has just dropped a whole album out of nowhere.

The self-titled project,  which features a music video for every track, hit iTunes in the hours of the morning today. In all, Beyoncé has about 14 new songs, including a cut dedicated to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter. Baby Blue even makes a guest appearance on the song. Bey’s hubby Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean and Drake also pop up on Beyoncé.

Shockingly, most  of the singles she debuted this year are available for download as part of the album. However, Bey did include the video for “Grown Woman” on the visual album. And it seems that “Bow Down” was renamed “Flawless.”

As it stands, you can only download Beyoncé in its entirety for $15.99 on iTunes; that should change around December 20, when songs and videos should each be made available for  individual sale.
