NeNe Leakes is not apologizing for bringing her “Real Housewives of Atlanta” BFF to tears.
NeNe, who clearly doesn’t agree with Cynthia Bailey’s decision to allow her daughter to date, justified her comments that could have been interpreted as criticism of Cynthia’s parenting.
While Cynthia shared news about her 13-year-old daughter’s boyfriend, NeNe stated that she would not allow a child that age to date. She also seemed to raise doubts for Cynthia when NeNe spoke about promiscuous teenage girls twirking in the middle of the mall.
Though her words caused a crying Cynthia to get up and leave the table where all the women were enjoying breakfast, NeNe remained unapologetic and suggested they all learn how to agree to disagree.
“Cynthia is very clear on where I stand about teenage dating,” NeNe wrote on her site. “I won’t be changing my opinion EVER! Not for Cynthia, not for you, not for anybody! I think it’s okay for friends to agree to disagree. It’s also okay for friends to have various opinions with respect to child rearing.”
The ladies have all previously agreed that talking about each other’s children is off limits. So, NeNe suggested that no one raise the topic if opposing POVs aren’t welcome.
“If you don’t wanna hear others opinions, don’t bring up the topic that you find to be sooooo touchy!” NeNe wrote.
Kandi Burruss explained to NeNe that her comments could have been perceived as judgmental, but the “Glee” actress said that was not her intent.
“Next time know the difference between an opinion and judging! I wasn’t judging because I am not perfect, but I do my very best when it comes to my boys,” she said. “When I judge you, you will know it! Now catch that shade!”
