Miley Cyrus may be young, but she’s smart enough to know who not to pick with and the popular singer denies suggesting that Beyoncé is past her prime.
According to a recent interview with Love magazine, Miley stated that now is her time to take over the music scene since Queen Bey is getting older and focusing on motherhood.
“Beyoncé has been a big inspiration to me, but she’s been out for such a long time. She’s so talented and I think she’s at the top of her game now, but people are always looking for new blood and that’s what I bring to the game,” she reportedly said.
The former “Hannah Montana” actor allegedly claimed she was the only artist ready to take Beyoncé’s throne due to her curves and talent.
However, Miley took to Twitter to deny it all, accusing the publication of fabricating the story.
“That quote people MADE UP about Beyoncé just made me lol!,” she tweeted. “How are people allowed to make up $#!t & then [put] quotes around it saying I said that S#!t! WTF!!?!”
Miley, who refuted the rumors before the Bey hive truly began to swarm, promised her fans she’d get to the bottom of the story, “making the liar retract the statement,” she assured. “U can cause A LOT of drama but NOT between me & B!”
Though no solid correlation has been made, dissing Beyoncé has been the reported cause of more than one artist’s career.
