Fantasia had a few words of advice for women that get involved with married men when she appeared on “The View.”
Fanny played co-host for the morning chat panel on Monday, and one of the first things she did was to address the recent round of rumors that she’s suicidal. Although she has denied the rumors via social media already, Fantasia wasn’t going to pass up an opportunity to show the public that she’s doing fine–mentally, physically and emotionally.
“I’m not depressed. I’m blessed,” Fantasia said before explaining that she views the gossip as an attempt to tear her down. “I think that when you carry that, there are people that will try their best to knick and pick to try to find things that used to could break Fantasia.”
She continued, “That Fantasia is gone.” The “Get It Right” siren presented a strong face to the studio audience and popped up a picture of her kids, pointing out that she’s now raising her neice.
The topic of conversation then turned to last week’s episode of “Being Mary Jane,” where Gabrielle Union’s character Mary Jane was confronted by her boyfriend Andre’s wife. “The View” host Sherri Shepherd was so perturbed by the fact that Andre’s wife confronted Mary Jane looking for honest answers about their affair. “I have two things to say about that. I think that if you’re going to go into a new situation, there’s no need to take the old baggage with you regardless of what they had going on,” Fantasia said. She added, though, that if the man is still actively married, there’s only thing to do. If that is the situation: run, run as fast as you can.”
