Kandi Burruss hinted that her wedding date might be coming pretty quick while updating everyone on her current relationship with her mom.
Thankfully the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is actively working to patch things up with her mother! Fans of the show have seen their bond deteriorate over the course of the season 6, and reports that
“Things have gotten better between my mother and I,” Kandi told reporters earlier this week. “We went through a little period of time where we weren’t talking, but we just recently after to holiday started getting our relationship back to what it was. ”
The same cannot be said for Mama Joyce’s relationship with the groom because “she’s still not really speaking to Todd.”
Mama Joyce may not like Kandi’s hubby to be, but she’s going to have to get over any differences she may have with him. Sooner rather than later, preferably, because Kandi dished that her wedding day is coming up sooner than you might think.
“We’re planning now,” Kandi said of her of her swiftly approaching nuptials. “It’s not that far off.”
Mama Joyce also shared her side of the reconciliation with OK! magazine, explaining that she was the one to break the silence
“The turning point was when she was getting ready to go out of town for Christmas. We’d never been apart or left each other without saying goodbye and I love you,” she explained. “It was the day before she was leaving and I thought about it and said, ‘Let me call my daughter.’ I told her to have a nice trip, I love her and I look forward to seeing her when she comes home.”
Joyce added, “She came over as soon as she got back and we’ve been really talking and seeing each other ever since.”
And don’t expect Mama Joyce to be kicking up too much more trouble in Kandi’s love life. She decided that it’s best to keep her mouth shut for the sake of preserving the bond she has with her daughter. “Right now I’ve decided to back completely out of it. Kandi and I are in a very good place. We’re at a place where we are back to talking and we’re getting close like we used to,” said Joyce.
“I just decided to let Kandi make her own decisions, whether it’s good, bad or indifferent,” she continued. “That doesn’t mean I totally agree with her but this is her decision and whether it’s wrong or right she’s going to have to live with it.”
