It’s “out with the old, in with the new” for K.Michelle who’s bid farewell to “Love & Hip Hop: New York” and will begin taping her own show in February.
“This is my last season of “Love & Hip Hop,” K.Michelle confirmed to Power 98 FM in Charlotte, NC. “I won’t be on ‘Love & Hip Hop’ any longer.”
K.Michelle joined the VH1 reality franchise as a cast member of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.” However, she ended her run with the series on “Love & Hip Hop: New York.” Now, she’s starring in her own spin-off, touring and working on a musical.
“We start filming February 10,” K.Michelle said about her reality show, tentatively titled “No New Friends.” With K.Michelle joining Robin Thicke on tour later in February, fans may get to see her doing what she does best when her show hits the air.
“I’m very excited. I didn’t even know he knew me,” K.Michelle said about Robin. “For someone I adore musically to pick me to open for him, I really appreciate that.”
While she’s flattered, K.Michelle assured she won’t be expressing her gratitude by twerking on Robin like some other artists have done.
“I don’t need Paula [Patton] coming for me,” she joked about Robin’s wife. “There will be no twerking with Robin.”
