While some of her co-stars have blamed her, Kenya Moore refuses to take responsibility for the altercation that aired on the latest “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
“There is no alternate universe that would hold me accountable for Apollo [Nida] assaulting Brandon [DeShazer]. Apollo is a convicted felon having served 6 years in prison. He is a liar and he is out of control,” Kenya wrote in her BravoTV.com blog.
“RHOA” fans watched in horror as Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo, and Brandon, Kenya’s friend, engaged in a physical fight. It began when singer Christopher Williams stood up and decided to confront Kenya about things she told Christopher’s wife.
“I do not lie on people,” said Kenya, who walked toward the couple to address their accusations when Christopher tried to stop her by grabbing her arm.
“NO MAN SHOULD EVER PUT HIS HANDS ON A WOMAN,” Kenya wrote. “Brandon did exactly what he was supposed to do and that is to protect me…For that, he is my hero.”
Though Kenya said she was surprised that none of her fellow peaches defended her, she singled out NeNe Leakes.
“I considered myself a friend and have always been respectful and supportive of NeNe on and off camera. I ignored all the warnings from the other ladies about how she turns on people she is threatened by or that she feels steals the spotlight from her,” wrote Kenya who’s previously accused NeNe of being jealous.
“She was out of line,” said Kenya who was chastised by NeNe after the incident. “What she hasn’t learned yet is that the higher a monkey climbs, the more it shows its ass.”
Like NeNe and Cynthia Bailey, Kenya extended her apology to fans who witnessed the messiness.
“I do not condone violence on any level,” she said. “There’s no excuse for this type of behavior.”
