Tamar Braxton: Towanda is still married

Tamar_WWHL_February2014After her recent appearance on “Bethenny,” many considered Towanda Braxton’s rumored romance with former “RHOA” husband Kordell Stewart confirmed, but Tamar Braxton reminded fans that her sister is already in a relationship.

“Last time I checked, my sister Towanda was married. So, I don’t know what the tea is on that,” Tamar said on “Watch What Happens Live.”

The youngest Braxton sister said she’s not met the former NFL player who is the ex-husband of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams.

However, based on what she saw of that relationship on “RHOA,” Tamar doesn’t think Kordell would be the best choice for Towanda.

“I wouldn’t consider him a catch,” Tamar told “Bethenny” viewers before commenting on his marriage to Porsha. “She couldn’t go nowhere; she couldn’t do nothing. It’s not cute.”

Towanda had her own marital problems as “Braxton Family Values” fans likely remember. She and husband Andre were headed for divorce at one point, but were supposedly trying to fix things.

Towanda has confirmed a friendly relationship with Kordell who she described at “nice” and a good father. However, he has been deemed “controlling” by some “RHOA” cast members and that’s not the worst of the gossip.

As “WWHL” host Andy Cohen reminded viewers, there have been persistent rumors suggesting that Kordell lives a down low lifestyle and is interested in men.

Though Towanda and Tamar haven’t agreed on much lately, neither sister wanted to comment on that rumor. As for their sisterly strife, Tamar is confident they’ll get past the issues that have caused some strain in their relationship.

“At the end of the day…I love my sisters to death. I’ve apologized 15,000 times. I can’t do anything more than that,” she said. “Let’s be friends.”
