Laura Govan talks ‘BBW:LA’ changes, newbies

LauraGovan4_FPSSShe and sister Gloria Govan Barnes were the two who helped jump start “Basketball Wives: LA,” but Laura Govan doesn’t have any hard feelings about not being on the “BBW” team anymore.

When disappointed fans got a look at VH1’s supertrailer for season 3, premiering February 17, they took to Twitter to express their anger and sadness over the sisters’ absence.

Some viewers even promised to boycott the show, but Laura assured them that the decision to leave the show was theirs and she’s not hating.

“We not mad…support those girls,” Laura wrote. “It was my decision. A wise woman knows when to say goodbye.

Though Laura’s relationships with her former co-stars was rough at times, she seems optimistic about the show’s newbies: Brittish Williams, Brandi Maxiell and Sundy Carter.

“Some of the new girls seem cool,” she said.

Laura also confirmed—for those who hadn’t heard—that she and her sister are working on their own reality series.

“Can’t wait 2 announce network. A whole different level,” she said.
