Apollo Nida wants a little more time before he has head back to court in his fraud and identity theft case
Apollo and his wife Phaedra Parks are trying to stall proceedings for his most recent legal troubles. RadarOnline.com reports that the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars filed a motion on February 10 to push back his criminal hearing. He was originally due back in court today, but the filing is seeking “an extension of time up to and including March 25, 2014.”
According to court documents, Phaedra and Apollo argue that the postponing “will allow the parties sufficient time to discuss a potential resolution of this case.” That resolution could include a settlement for the charges against him, including conspiracy.
Apollo stands accused of being the mastermind behind a scam that stole people’s identities to apply for various loans and create more than 40 fraudulent bank accounts. If he is convicted, he faces several years in prison.
