Evelyn Lozada couldn’t be happier that she’s having a son, but she still wanted something glamorous for her baby shower.
The “Basketball Wives” star went for an understand, elegant theme last weekend as she celebrated the impending arrival of her baby boy. “I didn’t want my baby shower to be too cheesy,” explained Lozada. “So we decided on “Diamonds and Diapers”, which every girl loves diamonds–lets just keep it real, its not just me–so we just wanted it to be different. ”
Evelyn’s already a mom; her daughter Shaniece is in her 20s. While she’s no stranger to raising a baby, she’s noticed that things are very different this time around. “I haven’t had a baby in a long time and Lord knows that I feel like it’s my first. Everything’s new to me, I mean down to the formula,” Evelyn said, marveling at the fact that there is now organic baby formula on the market.
“It’s just a whole new world,” she added. “I’m super excited! I feel like I’m really able to enjoy this pregnancy because I’m older.”
There has been one point of frustration, though: Evelyn and her fiancé Carl Crawford aren’t sure what to name their little man.
“We’re kind of on the fence with a few names. So, I’m like, ‘Look, when he comes out, we’ll just decide what his name is,” Evelyn said before chuckling about how joyful she is about having a son. “I’m just happy he’s a boy and that he has a penis. I’m gonna keep it all the way real!”
