With three seasons of “Basketball Wives: LA” under her stilettos, Draya Michele is understandably a little suspicious of new cast members.
From cast interviews released by VH1, it’s pretty clear that Draya and “BBW: LA” newbie Sundy Carter are not going to get along. “I feel like Draya is very insecure,” Sundy told the network. “Draya has so much baggage from her past that she’s now trying to clean herself up, and I just really feel like it’s not working for her right now.”
To be fair, Jackie Christie also described Draya as “sneaky” and “passionate.”
From previews of “Basketball Wives: LA” season 3, which debuts tonight at 8 p.m. on VH1, Draya’s trying to keep it classy this cycle. However it seems that some of her new cast mates may still be holding her wild ways against her.
“They came and they showed up ready,” Draya said of the new cast members. “I’ve done three seasons, and I think I know what I’m doing now. And I just know not to trust people.”
She added, “When new people come around, I feel like they’re either around for a friendship or they’re around for a problem. Usually new people show it immediately what they’re here for.”
She didn’t go into specifics about which of the ladies is trying to stir up drama, but she’s not painting them so favorably ahead of tonight’s premiere. “I think the new cast members are definitely a unique bunch, they all have different things that they bring, and they all come with their positives and their negatives,” Draya mused before sliding in a little shade. “They’re mostly known for their negatives.”
