Cynthia Bailey is clearing up any speculation that her husband Peter Thomas had any involvement in Apollo Nida’s recent scandal.
Last month, Apollo was arrested on charges of bank fraud and identity theft. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star was supposed to appear in court last week after, but he and his wife Phaedra Parks motioned to have the proceedings postponed to give them a chance to resolve the matter privately.
However, it seems that Apollo was not the only “RHOA” hubby rumored to be involved in the scam. Some have wondered if Peter was in on the scandal, where Apollo allegedly created more than 40 fake bank accounts.
Cynthia wasn’t going to let her husband be dragged through the mud, though.
“I can’t speak on Apollo, but I can say that Peter Thomas doesn’t have anything to do with a bank fraud scandal to my knowledge,” Cynthia told Jet. “The feds are not sitting outside of our house. That is just not accurate information, and this is the first time that I have heard rumors that Peter is involved in any way.”
Could Cynthia have been slyly letting readers know that the feds have been keeping a not-so-inconspicuous eye on Phaedra and Apollo’s happy home? Time will tell.
