NeNe Leakes said she walked away from a verbal argument with Marlo Hampton because she respects herself and isn’t Mama Joyce.
“As much as I would like to be Mama Joyce and take my shoe off and hit somebody or drag someone down the street, I would never stoop so low to the gutter with my son around,” NeNe wrote in her most recent BravoTV.com blog.
The Mama Joyce contrast was mentioned in response to comments Kandi Burruss made on Sunday night’s episode. The Bedroom Kandi queen noted that NeNe doesn’t normally walk away from fights the way she did when confronted by Marlo Hampton.
“I know how to respect myself enough to walk away from something that no longer serves me, helps me grow or makes he happy,” said NeNe who didn’t consider the Marlo situation a battle with fighting.
Though Marlo served as a bridesmaid for NeNe in Bravo’s “I Dream of NeNe,” the two have since parted ways, in part, because Marlo has become friends with NeNe’s on-air nemesis Kenya Moore.
“Do I care that Manlow and Krayonce are friends? Absolutely not! I think they are a perfect match! Marlo has officially graduated from hungry to thirsty,” NeNe wrote.
According to NeNe, she expected more loyalty from Marlo who supposedly had zero “RHOA” friends after being introduced to the cast in season 4.
“I supported Marlo and helped her unselfishly when nobody wanted her around…Some of these girls were uncomfortable with Marlo’s criminal background… I looked past that and really tried to see her heart. I was honest to a fault with her and a true, loyal friend.”
Unfortunately, Marlo’s new relationship with Kenya is proof to NeNe that Marlo isn’t the friend she thought.
“A so-called friend that fraternizes with the enemy is an opportunist in my opinion. They smile in your face, but are looking to take your place,” she said, making before swearing off both women.
“Kenya has nothing but deceitful, evil intentions and Marlo fell for them! I want nothing to do with either of them,” she wrote. “When I’m done with you, I’m done with you.”
