Was it too little too late for Robin Thicke as he canceled a couple of their shows to spend time with his estranged wife Paula Patton?
Much to everyone’s shock, Paula and Robin announced their separation on Monday afternoon, releasing a statement that read, “We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.”
According to TMZ.com, Robin made one last attempt to save his marriage before this statement went out. Last week, he canceled a show in Atlanta to fly to Canada and see Paula on the set of an upcoming movie.
Supposedly, Paula told Robin last Friday that she wanted to end their marriage. This prompted him to drop his show in Atlanta so that he could try to convince Paula to stay with him so that they could work on their marital issues.
After a long talk, where they acknowledged they had been arguing pretty frequently as of late, Robin realized that Paula had made up her mind. He reluctantly agreed to the split. The next day, he canceled his show in Orlando to spend time with their 3-year-old son Julian Fuego.
This announcement comes after months of unconfirmed rumors and speculation that the “Blurred Lines” singer has been unfaithful to Paula. Neither Robin nor Paula have commented on their split at this time. They had been married eight years
