“Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans raked Peter Thomas over the proverbial Twitter coals after watching him insert himself into the marital drama of Porsha Williams and Kordell Stewart, but Cynthia Bailey defended her man.
“I didn’t see anything wrong with Peter talking or going to visit Kordell. If for no other reason than to find out if he had lost his damn mind!” Cynthia wrote in her recent BravoTV.com blog.
According to Cynthia, the “RHOA” men have their own relationships separate from the women and call one another outside of taping. Their friendships aren’t necessarily affected by the ladies’ drama, and Peter even keeps in contact with Kenya Moore’s ex Walter Jackson.
While some viewers questioned why Cynthia didn’t give Porsha a heads up about Peter’s conversation with Kordell, Cynthia reasoned that she never tells any of the wives about the chats Peter has with their men.
Cynthia also explained that she and Porsha aren’t really all that close.
“Porsha and I are still getting to know each other and don’t really talk much outside of when we’re together with the group. I may get an occasional text or phone call from her every now and then…” said Cynthia who really only spends time with co-star NeNe Leakes on a consistent basis.
Though she admitted that she wouldn’t have minded sitting closer to Peter during the dinner in Mexico where he interrogated Porsha about her marriage, Cynthia said she has no intention of stifling her husband.
“Peter may not always have the best sense of timing, best tone or be politically correct when it comes to voicing his opinions. However, I can never be mad at him for having an opinion,” she said.
Does Peter say too much? Things get tense between him and Gregg Leakes. Watch.
