Peter Thomas has been deemed the seventh wife on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” series, but it seems like the hubby has bigger plans for himself.
Peter, businessman and husband of Cynthia Bailey, is reportedly hoping to parlay his reality TV fame into a spin-off series that chronicles is role as owner of the Bar One lounge in Atlanta.
“He has started shooting the spin-off, but it hasn’t actually been picked up,” an anonymous source told RadarOnline.com.
According to reports, eyewitnesses spotted fellow “RHOA” fellas, Gregg Leakes and Todd Tucker shooting the potential series with Peter.
“They had all the windows blocked off because it was daytime and the shoot was supposed to be at night,” the source explained.
Peter has been one of the more outspoken significant others on “RHOA,” getting into confrontations with Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams and NeNe Leakes who recently told him to stay out of the “women’s business.”
However, he’s also one of the most popular with 133K Twitter followers compared to Apollo Nida’s 45,000 and Gregg’s 12,000. Peter has also contributed to the season 6 storyline by initiating a sit down with Porsha’s ex. He also helped facilitate a “RHOA” hubbies’ tour that landed the men on “Bethenny” and other popular talk shows.
The “RHOA” husbands do not get paid for their appearance on the show, but Peter would obviously be receiving a check if he starred in a spin-off series.
“The fact is that now that the men on the show have a voice, one million people is watching the show than last year, that equal $$$$$ #holdontothat,” Peter wrote on Twitter. “I am strait out of BROOKLYN,nothing is given to me,I have to take it,I can be on this show and be nothing, or turn this S_!T into something.”
Peter wouldn’t be the first “RHOA” personality to star in a spin-off, but he would be the first Atlanta husband to do so.
Peter’s also working on creating an award for reality TV stars. Find out more about it in the April 2014 issue of Sister 2 Sister.
