As her wedding draws nearer, Kelly Rowland seems to be sticking to her decision to have an intimate ceremony without some of her closest gal pals.
The former “X Factor” judge reiterated that it will be just be her, her groom Tim Witherspoon and their mothers present when she ties the knot, but not all her friends support that decision.
“I just wanted it be a nice peaceful day where it’s just me and him and our mothers. That’s it. That’s it,” Kelly told HelloBeautiful.com, confirming that she isn’t having any bridesmaids. “They’re not happy about that.”
Kelly described the upcoming ceremony as “our gift to ourselves,” when she spoke to E! News last month. “Whatever we do we just want it to be special and between he and I and just make it something that we both remember and just for us.”
When asked if Blue Ivy would serve as a flower girl, she laughed at the suggestion.
“That’s hilarious,” she said in February. “I can’t answer that question just yet.”
