Apollo Nida speaks out on guilty plea

Apollo Nida is taking on critics who are angry with him for agreeing to become a government informant after pleading guilty in his fraud case.

Apollo was in decent spirits after he left U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on Tuesday. Despite pleading guilty to fraud and identity theft charges, Apollo told RadarOnline.com, “I just left the courthouse, and I’m alive. I’m cool.”

His tone had completely changed when he got online to combat the onslaught of negative comments that came his way. He seemed particularly offended at accusations that he turned into a government snitch. As he angrily explained, though, becoming an informant is just part of what comes along with a plea deal.

He repeated his point with another critic who was angry at him for agreeing to provide the feds with information on his accomplices.

He also had a few word for Wendy Williams who criticized him for saying he only started his scam because he felt he needed to keep up with his wife Phaedra Parks financially. She told her audience yesterday that the husbands on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” get paid for their appearance on the show. Apollo corrected her, though, informing his followers on Twitter that he’s never collected a check from Bravo.
