Wendy Williams had a few thoughts about Apollo Nida pleading guilty in his bank fraud case.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is facing 30 years in prison for charges stemming from his scams and identity theft. One of his accomplices has already gotten five years for their part, so Wendy doesn’t project that he’ll get much more time than that.
“I don’t think that he’s going to do 30 years for this, but it’s just a shame because Apollo didn’t have to turn to crime,” Wendy said, arguing that he was already getting money from Bravo for being part of the “RHOA” cast. “The husbands get money, if they’re going to be on the show. They’re not going to get the same money as the wives get, but they do get a little money.”
That’s not true, though. Several of the husbands have said that since they don’t have contracts with Bravo, they don’t get paid for being on “RHOA.”
“I still don’t feel sorry for him,” Wendy said. “You could have done better. At the very least, when the first child was born, you could have put your career criminal past behind you before you got caught. And now you have a second child.”
With all of the time and effort that Apollo put into orchestrating his scam, Wendy suggested, “You could have read a book on being a good husband and a decent father.”
