Porsha Williams saw NeNe Leakes’ tweet that has many speculating about the original cast member’s future on the show, and Porsha explained that NeNe isn’t pleased with the direction “Real Housewives of Atlanta” has taken.
“She has a problem with where the whole show is going. Last season was really dark,” Porsha told Rickey Smiley on his radio show. “She said that she feels like it’s changed.”
Earlier this week, NeNe tweeted a message about not continuing in a job that’s no longer enjoyable, and her fans interpreted it as a sign that she may quit. NeNe’s comment was publicized around the same time rumors circulated about her being demoted to a “friend” of the show rather than a full-time cast member.
“I feel like if anything, it’s probably mutual,” Porsha said about the rumors that NeNe won’t be back.
Since then, NeNe was spotted at an NBC event with co-star Kandi Burruss and Bravo exec Andy Cohen, who some say was offended by NeNe’s behavior during the season 6 reunion show.
“Hell, yeah. She’s a diva,” Porsha said. “I think she deserves that. She’s been on the show since the very beginning. She has a true fan base.”
Though NeNe is the last remaining original cast member on the show and arguably the show’s nucleus, Porsha doesn’t think everything would fall apart if her reality TV “big sis” left the show.
“She would definitely be missed, but would the show go on? I think it would just because it’s an ensemble cast,” Porsha said.
Porsha says the “RHOA” ladies don’t need to tear each other down. Check it out below.
