“That was a major sacrifice,” said Kandi who explained that was one indication for her that Todd was the one.
“I never get tired of talking to him. With Todd, I never got bored,” she told Bossip.com. “To be honest with you, I never dated anyone longer than two years prior to Todd. When we got past that certain mark and I still was enjoying being around him all the time, I was like, ‘Yeah, he’s the one.’”
Todd was not the first man Kandi loved, and she recently reflected on her previous engagement to AJ Jewell during an interview with TheGrio.com.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars likely remember AJ from Kandi’s first season on the Bravo show. Though the two had ended things before his violent death, Kandi said it was a difficult thing to endure.
“It definitely was a hard situation to go through because you’re going through it in front of the world,” said Kandi who also opened up to Kandi about the loss of her older brother.
“It’s a weird, sharing stuff like that. It’s just a sensitive subject for my mother and I. We try to be open and share ourselves with the world,” she explained. “That was really hard.”
