Columbus Short has been in the news quite a bit this year. Not only was he fired from” Scandal,” but he was hit with a lawsuit for a million dollars and arrested for public intoxication.
“There is a time when your personal life gets magnified by who we are as celebrities,” the 31-year-old tells “Access Hollywood.”
Columbus, whose legal drama likely had something to do with his termination from the hit ABC series, confirms that both cases were dropped.
If you did not know, Columbus’ estranged wife Tanee Short, filed for divorce and a restraining order back in April. According to her, he pinned her to the couch. She also said that he wanted to play a game called Truth or Truth and threatened to stab her if she lied.
“I never put my hands on a woman physically. Ever,” he said.
“I will take ownership. Me and my wife, we’re going through serious, serious problems. However, the domestic part of it, I’m not a physically violent man,” he said.
Columbus said that the divorce is moving forward and the restraining order is in effect. As of right now, he is waiting for a court date to contest the $21,000 a month in spousal and child support.
“I have not been perfect, but I have not been all the things that has been in the press,” said Columbus who refuted the most recent rumors of his involvement in a bar brawl in Dallas.
“I was involved in no fight,” said Columbus who reasoned that some times he’s provoked by members of the public trying to test him.
