Brandon DeShazer credits karma for Apollo Nida ‘justice’

Brandon_DeShazerBrandon DeShazer chose not to press charges against Apollo Nida after their on-air bout, but he’s not taking pleasure in the father’s recent 8-year jail sentence.

Brandon said being responsible for Apollo’s re-incarceration wouldn’t have changed what went down between the two men during a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” pajama party gone wrong.

“It wasn’t going to make me feel better to give him an extra record,” Brandon explained to

Brandon and Apollo have offered two different versions of exactly what happened that night. Apollo said Brandon hit him while Apollo was attempting to separate Brandon and Peter Thomas. According to Apollo, Brandon wasn’t backing down.

However Brandon, who was standing up for his friend Kenya Moore, said the attack was unprovoked and unwarranted.

Not long after the fight aired, Apollo, who was previously incarcerated for five years, was arrested again and charged with bank fraud. Earlier this week, a judge handed down an 8-year-sentence for those crimes.

“I believe in karma, which is why I believe you have to be sweet and nice to everybody that you come in contact with, even if they don’t want to do the same thing for you,” said Brandon who believes a higher power delivered justice.

“God took care of that for me,” he said.
