“R&B Divas: LA” season 2 premieres Wednesday on TV One, but Lil Mo and other “Divas” fans are still reeling from all the drama from the franchise’s “Atlanta” series.
KeKe Wyatt, Monifah Carter, Syleena Johnson, Meelah Williams, LaTavia Roberson and Angie Stone just wrapped season 3 of the hit reality TV show. Angie stunned viewers by announcing that she won’t be back for another season, and Lil Mo, who stars on “R&B Divas: LA,” chimed in on when it is time to kiss reality TV good-bye.
“The reality show platform is supposed to boost. It’s not supposed to bring down and it’s not supposed to feel like this is detrimental to my coin,” Lil Mo told Sister 2 Sister.
Angie explained that she was officially resigning from the series after reunion show host Wendy Williams questioned her about her relationship with her manager/boyfriend. Angie also got into a heated discussion with Syleena and claimed that her character was being attacked and called into question by her co-star.
“A lot of people don’t want to be ‘Kelly Priced.’ People loved Kelly before the show. People still love her, but they don’t like her attitude,” explained Mo using her former “LA” co-star as an example of how reality TV can damage an artist’s reputation.
Lil Mo talks more about Kelly and what to expect from “R&B Divas: LA” season 2 below watch.
