Karrueche Tran couldn’t hold back her tears of frustration while talking about the challenges her relationship with Chris Brown has faced.

Being in a relationship with a superstar when you are just a normal girl can take a huge toll on you–especially when you’re dating someone whose ex is a even bigger star! Karrueche was up for the challenge, though.

She sat down with Keke Palmer on her new BET talk show “Just Keke,” and opened up about having a famous boyfriend, dealing with his ex, heartbreak and how it’s all affected her.

Karrueche has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with Chris Brown while dealing with paparazzi, Rihanna and her Navy throwing shade, and also dealing with being part of Chris’ love triangle. “I’ve never dated a celebrity before so it was very all new to me,” Karruche told Keke.

We’ve all seen Chris Brown go from Rihanna and Karrueche back and forth, confessing that he was in love with the two women in a video he put out on Vimeo back in October 2012.

Karrueche feels like the only reason why people were so tuned into the love triangle situation because it was all so relatable. “I have girlfriends, I have family who’s gone through the same situation. It’s the case of the ex,” she said. “Not only am I fighting a battle with her, but I am fighting a battle with her 14 million fans.”

Aside from friction with Rihanna, Karrueche’s also dealt with being on VH1’s ‘Notorious Side Chicks’ List. “They make up all kind of crazy stuff and its like they know nothing about me,” she said. “You know because they know nothing about me, because I stay so mute sometimes, that leaves open space for them to say whatever they want.”

She then later breaks down after explaining that the heartbreak was the hardest part for her because “it was a real life situation.”
