Yandy Smith said fans should expect twists, turns and buffoonery when “Love & Hip Hop” returns, but they should not blame series creator Mona Scott-Young for the drama.
“Everyone’s saying that Mona sets things up and it’s Mona’s fault. I think that’s completely ironic,” Yandy said about other “Love & Hip Hop” stars who’ve blamed Mona for the messiness. “No one can put the bottle in your hand to throw. No one can write down in the script: ‘Jump over the table now and slap her’ and think that you’re not going to get slapped back. There’s no script ’cause I’ve never seen it.”
Though she admitted that she wasn’t there when the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” reunion show brawl took place, Yandy said those cast members who accused Mona of setting them up are looking for a scapegoat.
“That’s a lame excuse for people when things don’t turn out the way they want things to turn out,” Yandy told Bossip.com. “I definitely don’t think there’s something that that was set up.”
