Stevie J apologized to Mimi Faust on the season finale of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” but she’s not yet sure how sincere it was.
“What that was was just what it was at that moment. An apology is only real to me if your actions back it up. If his actions don’t back up what he’s saying, then it’s all for nothing,” Mimi told Sister 2 Sister. “Words are just words unless you back your actions up.”
Mimi’s friend Ariane Davis had a conversation with Stevie earlier in the season suggesting that Mimi was behaving somewhat irrationally, by starring in a sex tape, because Mimi needed an apology from Stevie.
Mimi doesn’t seem to need any similar closure from ex-boyfriend Nikko Smith. Even though they both signed the contract with Vivid Entertainment, making them business partners in a sense, Mimi said she has nothing to say to Nikko now.
“Whatever business that him and I had has not been discussed at all. It will have to be somewhere in the future at some point,” she said. “I’ve had no contact with him.”
After watching Mimi move from one dysfunctional romance to the next, some “LHHATL” fans question her ability to choose a good man, but Mimi scoffed at the idea that she has any more difficulty than anyone else when it comes to picking partners.
“Who out here is perfect? If every woman out here was so great at picking a man, every woman would be married; every woman would be in a perfect relationship. Get outta here. Don’t point the finger at me. Look inside yourself…Everybody out here is not a great judge of character or pick the right person all the time,” reasoned Mimi who acknowledged that she doesn’t have the best track record.
“I admit that. I’m horrible at it,” she said. “And what?”
