Tameka “Tiny” Harris is aware of those who hate on her unique speaking voice, but that’s not going to keep her from hosting her own talk show.
“It’s gonna make it happen,” Tiny said about her voice when asked about the irony of the very thing folks tease her about being front and center for the new venture. “It works for me.”
The wife, mom, singer, music manager and reality star will be adding “talk-show host” to her list of credentials when “Tiny Tonight” premieres on VH1. The series is scheduled to begin taping later this year.
Tiny told S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown that the show will be “younger,” “fresh” and “real sexy.”
Tiny admitted that she’s not actually in love with her voice either, but instead of shying away from it, she’s thinking of maximizing it.
“I need to get this voice on some voice-overs,” she said.
T.I. and Tiny are quickly becoming the first family of VH1 reality with Tiny’s new show coming soon and high ratings for “Family Hustle.”
Tip said his fans are enjoying the show, which is currently in its second season, and he hasn’t caught any flack for sharing his softer side, something not many rappers are willing to do.
“It’s being received well overall. It’s a shock to [viewers] to see somebody in hip-hop so young, so dedicated to a family. For me, it’s always been this way,” T.I. said.
