Monica Brown is reportedly none too pleased that her ex, Rocko, may be joining the cast of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”
While Monica and Rocko starred together on BET’s “Monica: Still Standing,” the singer apparently doesn’t want Rocko on the popular VH1 franchise that’s received a lot of criticism for its often stereotypical portrayals of African Americans.
Monica’s so displeased that she offered Rocko a nice chunk of change to refuse to join the cast, but the aspiring rapper turned her down in hopes that the reality TV gig will help his career as it has some other “LHHATL” cast members, according to Uptown magazine.
Although Monica and Rocko are no longer together, the two are still linked through their two sons, Rodney and Romelo.
If previous storylines are any indication, Monica might have reason to worry about what Rocko might divulge if he joins the cast. Past domestic abuse, delinquent child support and cheating were all disclosed on season 1 of the series.
Rocko’s addition to the cast hasn’t been confirmed yet, making the rapper one of a handful of rumored newcomers for season 2.
Uptown also reported that Soulja Boy and Diamond will be joining the show next season.
