Vivica Fox called out Stacey Dash for being a little brazen while supporting Mitt Romney.
Vivica was just as shocked as the majority of the Black community when the Clueless star tweeted her support for the GOP candidate. But the "Prank My Mom" host wasn’t so much appalled at Stacey’s political leanings as she was the way in which she chose to back President Barack Obama’s opponent.
Stacey may have been going for the patriotic, pin-up girl look, but Vivica was not feeling her get-up.
“I don’t know why [Stacey] had to do a photo shoot in a ‘Baywatch’ red swimsuit with the boobs and the whole flag behind her," Vivica told TheGrio.com, completely perplexed at why Stacey showed off the way she did. “And she doesn’t have a job or something to promote right now. I just didn’t get it."
Stacey’s approach to campaigning for Mitt isn’t that much different from the whole Obama Girl craze from 2008, when a woman named Amber Lee Ettinger posted a viral video to YouTube. Amber danced around the screen in a bikini as she confessed her crush on Barack in song. However, Vivica thought that for an established actress like Stacey to do a little political pandering of her own was a bad move.
"She’s entitled to her own opinion but it was just surprising that first of all she was a Republican, and that she did it the way that she did," said Vivica. "Most politicians when you support them, you try to support them with class, you don’t need to do a swimsuit shoot.”
Stacey did not share her official party affiliation. In 2008, she voted for Barack Obama.
