Chris Brown turns himself in for battery

New details have been released in Chris Brown’s felony battery investigation.

According to TMZ, the police report cites Penal Code Section 245, which is assault with a deadly weapon.  However, police say that no weapons were involved in the Sunday morning incident.

Chris had reportedly gotten into an argument with an un-named woman while the pair were driving in L.A.  According to Police, the argument turned violent when Chris stopped the car in the area of Hancock Park.

Police were called about the incident, but when they got to the scene Chris, who the victim pegged as her attacker, was gone.

The victim has not officially been identified, but the police report lists Robyn Fenty (A.K.A.: Rihanna) as the victim, TMZ reports.

Chris turned himself in to the Los Angeles Police Department on Sunday evening.  He was booked just before 7:45 p.m. for maknig criminal threats.  Chris was later released because he was able to post his $50,000 bail.

Both Chris and Rihanna were supposed to perform at the Grammys on Sunday, but neither showed up.

The case has now been turned over the LA County District Attorney’s office, which will determine whether to file additional charges.
