The Braxton sisters may have their sights set on the world of daytime TV because there’s chatter they’re pitching a talk show.
A Los Angeles TV executive revealed that there’s a chance the Braxtons could be bringing their act to your place on a daily basis. “Toni, Traci, Towanda and Trina are all in LA right now, pitching a talk show,” the unidentified exec told The Huffington Post. "Think ‘The View’ but with a lot of sass!"
According to the insider, the Braxtons will put their own brand of dish on the conventional chat show segments.
"There will be the Braxton sisters’ version of ‘Hot Topics,’ called ‘Spill the T,’ plus gossip, relationship fare, fashion features, makeover segments and celebrity guests," said the source, who added that viewers can also expect their mother Evelyn Braxton to make a few appearances. "They have even gotten their mom to do an ‘Ask Mommy’ advice segment. A fun, fun show.”
Supposedly, the sisters have secured Rob Dauber to executive produce the show, and he’s got a track record of producing daytime TV hits. For example, he’s worked on "The Wendy Williams Show" and even "The Oprah Winfrey Show." With credentials like that, the Braxtons think Rob is just the man to make them the next big thing.
“Toni is totally into it, as is the rest of the family," said the insider, who assumes that the sisters will use their vocal skills on the show. "Plus, you know they are going to have one hell of a theme song!”
There’s no word on why Tamar is not participating in the possible chat show, nor have the sisters mentioned anything about th TV project at this time.
