Toni Braxton is back home after being rushed to the hospital for lupus-related complications.
It was a rough weekend for Toni, who had a medical emergency this weekend. According to US Magazine, Toni was taken to a Los Angeles hospital to be treated from complications of her illness.
It’s not clear exactly how serious the complications were, but Toni was able to inform her followers on Twitter of the emergency. "Hey guys, I’m in the hospital for health issues related to Lupus & blood clots," she tweeted Friday. "I will be home soon…Thanks for all the love & support!"
Toni went public with her condition in 2010 during the 8th Annual Lupus L.A. Bag Ladies Luncheon while accepting an award. Toni has a family history of Lupus; her uncle died of complications from the condition and her brother also has Lupus.
Without getting into specifics, the "I Heart You" singer revealed that she was released the next morning, tweeting, "Going home today! I have a nurse coming to the house for a couple days, maybe I can sneak out & see Diezel’s 1st play ‘A Mid Summers Dream.’"
