All is not as it appears in Kenya Moore’s relationship with Walter Jackson, who says their love is fake!
Many people assume that reality TV is at least a little bit scripted, but could Kenya’s relationship with Walter just be an act? All season on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Kenya’s been dropping hints that she’s ready to get hitched, but he hasn’t been in any rush to put a ring on it.
But it seems their love was all for show as Walter dropped by Frank Ski’s radio show to reveal that he and Kenya aren’t really together. At least, not anymore.
When questioned about how he knew Kenya, Walter explained that he and Kenya used to be an item for a brief period of time a few year back. "We dated about three years ago," he told Frank Ski. "We dated for about three months near the Dallas All-Star [weekend]."
Walter explained that their short-lived love affair was mostly long-distance. Even on the nights that he would sleep over, they mostly slept in separate rooms. Thing between them sort of fizzled out after a while. Although Walter acknowledges that they would text from time to time, they didn’t see each other again until Kenya was cast for "RHOA."
That’s when she came to him with a proposition. "She said, ‘Well, what if you play my boyfriend on the show?’" Walter recalled. "I had to think about it." The transportation executive revealed that he wasn’t really sure what to do at first, so he consulted a few of his guy friends to get their opinions. "Everybody was like, ‘Hey man, get your 15 minutes of fame,’" Walter shared.
"She told me it’s like acting. So I said, ‘Okay! I can act. No problem,’" he added, noting that he’s something of a socialite. He also argued that people weren’t really accustomed to seeing him and Kenya around Atlanta, which Frank backed up. "Nobody here in Atlanta has seen me out with Kenya [at] any events."
Initially Walter thought that he was just signing up to play Kenya’s beau, not a potential fiancé. So when she let it slip that she wanted to elope in Anguilla, Walter was caught off guard. Of course, he acknowledged that that really wasn’t anything new for him. "The whole season, I’m really thrown off," he said.
"On the show, I didn’t have any idea that she’s telling the producers and everybody [that we're getting married]," Walter revealed. "This ain’t what I signed up for."
