Reports are surfacing that gangsta rap MC and frequent battle rapper 50 Cent will be launching a beauty line, for men, of course.
50 has already proved that his brand of street-meets-business is immensely viable through partnerships with Coca-Cola’s Vitamin Water and Right Guard (with which he ventured into the beauty industry via a body spray called Pure 50).
His latest move will find the G-Unit boss hocking cosmetics products like night cream (for the gangster who’s concerned about wrinkles, we presume), moisturizer and vitamin supplements.
A source told the Daily Mirror, which broke the story, that "50 prides himself on having a ripped body … he’s on a health kick and barely touches alcohol. So his range will be for the guy who likes to be pampered–but the supplements will make it more butch."
50 isn’t the first rapper to get into the beauty game, either. Both Jay-Z and Diddy launched successful fragrances, with Elizabeth Arden and Estee Lauder, respectively.
