Talk show an easy fit for Tiny Harris

Tameka “Tiny” Harris’ late-night talk series hasn’t been officially picked up yet, but she’s hoping that after tonight’s premiere, it will be.

Tamar Braxton, Claudia Jordon and rapper Trina joined Tiny as co-hosts for the first episode, which is a look back at this year.

“The first show will be a recap of 2012. We’ll be talking about all of the big events that happened in the year,” Tiny told Ebony.

The former Xscape singer and reality star said she first came up with the idea for a talk show a long time ago. “Tiny Tonight” will be a “young and youthful” version of other female-oriented talk shows, like “The View” or “The Talk.”

For Tiny, it wasn’t a hard evolution to go from singer to talk show host because she’s always been a confidante to friends.

“I’m always giving out advice. People always come to me for that, and I keep it real, too,” she said. “On the show, you’re going to see us chatting as homegirls and hearing our input, our insight.”

Tiny, who has been with rapper T.I. for years, offered an example of advice to single women out there who want to follow in her footsteps and have it all.

“When you get a man, you have to nurture him. Treat him like a king. If you put that little work in in the beginning, it pays off,” she said.

Although they’ll be tackling some serious issues, Tiny said the ladies will show viewers a good time.

“We are just laughing. We’re talking. We argue a little here and there because everybody don’t agree, but we have fun, and that’s just what happens when ladies get together. You’re going to see a lot of funny moments in there, especially with the cast I have,” she said.
