Chad Ochocinco Johnson vowed that he’d win back his ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, and it seems the two may have taken their first steps toward reconciliation.
Evelyn and Chad made their first appearance together since the August incident that led to their divorce, but their meeting was no personal affair. The two met up in court so she could drop the restraining order against him.
The reality TV couple, whose VH1 series "Ev & Ocho" was cancelled shortly after the domestic battery charges were filed, appeared in a Florida courthouse in front of a judge, and TMZ was there to record the whole thing.
In the video, the judge asked Evelyn whether she was being forced or threatened to drop the restraining order. She answered, “no.” He also asked her if she felt unsafe, and she replied, “no” to the judge again. With that, he agreed to drop the restraining order and the two walked out of court with their lawyers.
According to recent reports, the two have been exchanging “romantic words via Twitter” before the decision was made to drop the restraining order, and now that there is nothing holding the two back from seeing each other, sources close to Evelyn told TMZ that the “Basketball Wives” star wants to start talking to Chad again.
She recently told RadarOnline.com that she wants to ask Chad why he did what he did. Although she hasn’t specifically said she’s ready to give their relationship another try, Evelyn did say she believes in second chances.
“I’m not bitter, things happen and yeah, I do believe in second chances. I would want somebody to give me a second chance, and you never know,” she told RumorFix.com.
Eh, we’ll see how that turns out.
